I've spent some happy times in China on a bike. Here were the two happiest:
"Biking in the Countryside" stands out mostly because my teammate and I got lost going home and ended up in a different town entirely. It was also notable for the beautiful green fields of spring wheat and for the pictures of the cute village kids.
"Anatomy of a Perfect Day" tells the story of our quest to see Confucius's actual birthplace, located in a cave in Mount Ni. In the end, we chose not to pay the ticket prices and had to settle for a gorgeous spring bike ride through miles of fields, a relaxing 10-minute boat trip, an adventuresome hike up a mountain, and the delightful company of our students.
