In my first semester in China, I counted each month as it went by. Every month was one month longer I had lived in a different country, and it was also one month closer to the half-way point. For some reason I really looked forward to the half-way mark of my year. After the winter break, everything flew by -- I no longer felt the need to count the time I had stayed in China.
The following post was written last January, back in my month-counting days:
"Chinaversary"
I hope you have enjoyed (or at least tolerated) this week's trip down memory lane. October holiday is drawing to a close, and we will now return to fresh programming here at Life in the Middle Kingdom.
