Sometimes I get a backlog of blog posts in my head and don't know where to begin. Lots of things are going on these days and China is as funny, confusing, depressing and interesting as it always was.
So rather than sit here frozen in backlog paralysis, I present you with a short, sweet, and totally typical moment from my class this morning:
Students: Quietly working on an exercise.
Me: Observing from the front of the class.
Student from the back of the class stands up and scurries nervously to the front. "Alison, I am suffering from the diarrhea. May I be excused?"
Yes, by all means. :) And now I know what English word she was so urgently looking up on her electronic dictionary.
