Home Sweet Qufu

I'm back.

This is me, sitting in bed with my laptop and my pajamas, getting reacquainted with the cold. The central heat is off in our apartments until school starts again.

I returned to a mailbox full of Christmas cards, birthday cards, and a Valentine's package from home. What a wonderful homecoming! I've been abroad for lots of holidays in the last few weeks: Christmas, New Years, my birthday, Valentine's Day, and ski weekend (a Bodensteiner family tradition -- this is only the second one I can remember missing!). I'm so thankful to have friends and relatives who remembered me while I was away and included me in their celebrations even from afar. You guys are the best friends, family, and supporters around. (Don't tell the other teachers -- they might be jealous.)

Here's the itinerary for the next few days:

Laundry (desperately needed)
Unpacking
Cleaning
Cooking
Posting Pictures
Planning Lessons

Here's what's next on the blog:

Travel Review
Return to our regularly scheduled programming on life in China

Finally, I would like to officially announce my return to the world of Blogger, Facebook, Youtube, and more. Hooray! It makes my return to China that much sweeter.

Stay tuned, and happy Year of the Tiger!
